Yoga for the Childbearing Years

OmMama, LLC, offers yoga classes for women and families in their childbearing years in Richmond, Virginia. Whether you’re at the beginning of your pregnancy or on the other side of the birth experience, we’ve got a class for you.

prenatal yogaOur highly acclaimed prenatal yoga classes help moms-to-be move through pregnancy with grace and awareness and prepare you for the hard work of labor and birth. The discussion and laughter fostered in the prenatal classes will demystify pregnancy and help you make sense of the many ways pregnancy transforms your body and your perception of yourself.

As you near the end of your pregnancy, we have workshops that give you and your partner the time and space to connect with each other while practicing effective labor positions and pain-coping methods. After your baby arrives, our postnatal classes will restore your energy and connect you to a community of other new mothers and babies.

We even have classes for the newest member of your tribe: our Itsy Bitsy® Yoga classes provide you with parenting tips and fun ways to interact with your infant or tot—all the way up to age two.

So whether you are in your first trimester or seriously postpartum, we invite you to take a look through our website, and look forward to seeing you in class.

Prenatal yoga and Baby and Me and Itsy Bitsy programs make a huge difference in the physical, mental and I think spiritual health of the mother and child, and in turn the whole family. . . Learning how to breathe and handle the contractions really helped me in that I was able to labor at home for about twelve hours before going to the hospital.
